How is my diet today when I’m working towards losing 10-20 lbs?

Breakfast: A Jimmy Dean “Delight” breakfast sandwich (has whole grain english muffin, egg white, turkey sausage, and low fat cheese.)

Lunch: small salad (mostly romaine lettuce and a lil red pepper, ranch)

100 calorie pack of cheez- it party mix

about 32 oz of water

Dinner: Baked Chicken Breast topped with swiss and sauted mushrooms … mashed potatos (cooking for boyfriend tonight)

Your breakfast seems like it may be a little off. Instead of prepackaged breakfasts, make your own. You save a lot of calories and know exactly what’s in your meal. If you look at the ingredients on the Jimmy Dean box, I’m sure you’ll be suprised at what else is in those sandwiches. Like preservatives, etc. For breakfast I make a strawberry/peach smoothie. I take the frozen fruits (1 cup each) and 1 cup water with 2 tsp of BROWN sugar. and blend. It makes about 10oz and it’s sooooo good!! Only 100-125 calories, plus it keeps you satisfied until your snack.

Also, try to eat 5 small meals a day….it really works. It keeps you energized and full! Make sure the meals are no bigger than your fist, which is the size of your belly.

Lunch–NO RANCH!! It’s LOADED with calories. In 2 tbsp there is about 180 calories!!! Try the salad spritzers by wishbone–only 2 calories per spritz. ( I use about 6 in a medium size salad)

I used to be a HUGE junk food eater but with eating 5/6 meals a day, I realize I’m eating healthier and I’m always full. I consumed 1180 calories yesterday, but I ate all day!! What I ate yesterday–

Breakfast 2/28:
whole wheat toast (1 slice) with 1/2 tsp of NATURAL peanut butter
1 cup of v-8 low sodium juice

snack:
90 calorie quaker granola bar
small apple

Lunch:
brown rice
1/2 mixed veggies
1 tsp of BBQ sauce (for taste)

snack
3 carrots chopped up

dinner:
lean cuisine meal–the best!!

snack:
100 calorie smoothie drink
