How can I make my hot ground sausage not so hot?

My boyfriend loves spicy ground sausage in my pasta and I don’t. I usually brown the sausage then add a can of hunts pasta sauce. Tomorrow I’ll be using four cheese flavor. Is there a way to make the sauce with sausage not as spicy? I was thinking that I would make it how I normally do then take out his sauce before I change it to my sauce. Should I add milk to the sauce? I don’t have a lot of money to go out and buy ingredients so the cheapest solution would be best. I have 2% milk, shredded cheese, ranch and cream cheese. Thanks for any help. =)
Lala, he wants it spicy because I always make it mild. He hardly ever has his spicy food. Thanks for the advice, I thin we have sour cream.

Use and try this recipe. Awesome taste!

Zesty Penne, Sausage and Peppers
Ingredients

3 cups penne pasta, uncooked
1 pound Italian sausage
1 green bell pepper, cut into thin strips
1 red bell pepper, cut into thin strips
1 (26 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
1 teaspoon fennel seed
Dash crushed red pepper
4 ounces PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, cubed
1/4 cup KRAFT Shredded Parmesan Cheese

Directions

Cook pasta as directed on package.
Meanwhile, crumble sausage into large skillet; cook and stir on medium heat 8 min. or until done. Drain. Add bell peppers; cook and stir 5 min. or until crisp-tender. Stir in next 3 ingredients; cook 5 min. or until heated through. Add cream cheese; cook 2 min. or until melted, stirring frequently.
Drain pasta. Add to sausage mixture; mix lightly. Top with Parmesan.
