What will happen to employment on Molokai, Hawaii?

I have recently read on the Molokai Times website that the main ranch on the island has closed down, and many people have lost their jobs. I plan to visit Hawaii in July and August this year and planned to take part in a farm-based work scheme there. Are the ranches there still going to be operational now that the ranch firm have pulled out, and will there still be work on offer?

Those people only got paid 7.50 to 9 dollars an hr. Some of them will work in Maui or Oahu, and they are trying to lease the ranch so they can still be operational, and run the ranch. The people of Molokai like it quiet over there, and they will do what they have to , to keep it from getting developed like it is here in Maui.
