Kids Ranch

Is it true that you have found more children in the polygamy ranch in Texas? If so, how many more?
The last I've read, nobody is sure if there are more children on the ranch or not. It is possible that fresh kiddies have been introduced by the Fundamentalist Church since the others were withdrawn, but since the last time I heard the news, it is not known with certainty. Yesterday, the child welfare and police arrived at the ranch, and people at the ranch said they were not allowed in the property without a warrant. This will be one of those horror stories in which nobody is right and everyone is wrong. No one is advocating polygamy or child marriage or child sexual abuse. However, in the other hand, I know from experience (having worked in child welfare), and the People are saying that local authorities welfare of the children are making a mess of this research. One other problem is coming what will be done with these boys (and girls married) over time. Child welfare hates to admit he has made mistakes, and is known to drag on investigations and refusing to get conclusions, so that not only final judgments are made every time you can make CW look bad. An example of a current issue with the polygamists have Protective Services Children in CPS is that nobody has to take remedial action plans for families, no deadlines for returning the children home, even if the parents cooperate fully with CPS. Other stories are coming out ugly as well, including the police to act as prison guards, harassing young mothers with 2 am after loud calls (as in boot camp), and CPS workers taking religious books to people. The fact is that part of TX (I live about 200 miles west of there) A heaven – poor, uneducated, and rather intolerant, especially of religious practices. No wonder that CPS and the police are ignorant, unskilled, and can not behave in a dignified manner. There is also the problem shown by the odd question, "Do not allow these violations of the law back polygamists home as if nothing happened? "Probably not, but that means, in my opinion, now owe these people a life. You may not like how these people are living, but that does not: the option must be taken to the streets. What is happening is reminiscent of how Native Americans were treated in schools in India the last century, when they were removed from their families, stripped of their dignity, and no resources, then push for its own account. And I mean the streets. Because the other big problem is that no foster care and no support services for a large group of young women and their children. They need housing, jobs, health care (Some of these children have fumarase deficiency, a chronic condition that requires frequent medical care), income support, education and training work. These things are scarce. At least in their home communities were able to work and support each other to a limited extent. Those who fail to worship, and religious groups often experience long periods of dislocation and social problems. The last problem I'll leave alone most since I've rambled on long enough is that research is an enormously expensive, and it is hoped that the county where everything is taking place into bankruptcy soon.
