How would we get a paved road?

My family and I own a large ranch in west Texas. We want to get a road paved, and have enough money to, but don’t know who to contact. It’s not really in any city. Should we contact the county? Or some private company?

If the road is on private property, you have to contact an asphalt company. The county only builds and maintains its own roads. That being said, you may need to apply for a permit to build a road, so you may need to contact the building department to obtain a permit prior to construction.
