how to use los angeles metro link?

hey! i live in studio city CA and i need to go to rancho cucamonga its REALLY important i have never been on any metro link stations so i have no idea how to use it
so i really need help and tell exactly what to do pleasee!!!!!
i been searching but everything seems to be so confusing please help me!

1. Take the Metro Orange Line to North Hollywood
2. Take the Metro Red Line (subway) to Union Station in Downtown L.A.
3. Take the Metrolink San Bernardino Line to Rancho Cucamonga.
