Is there any reason ranch-style homes are popular in warm states like California and Texas?
I see many of them compared to other styles houses.
In some areas, the soil will not support a basement or in larger homes. Housing styles change from area to area. In my area, is American Foursquare, Watertown, NY, is Italianate. Top tend to be warmer when there is no A / C, when it built the most homes.
