I need help on a building project(building things like houses)?
okay
so i dont really wanna build an actual house but im building this community thing…
im building the suburbs and the city and ranching type stuff
so i was wondering where i would find a do it yourself kit
the size of this thing would be about the same size as, if you seen one before, a model of a building. (in architecture)
but just noit jsut one building and with less detail

I suggest picking up supplies a craft or hobby store. Using a hot glue gun will give you a good solid model.
First, plan your City on a sheet of paper. If your studying this for a class, you may already have a layout in mind, but most libraries will have planning guides to help you as well.
For the ground, use a sheet of plywood or double-up some cardboard. Glue on a sheet of green paper or felt on top. The hobby shop should have a kind of grass paper if you want to use that.
For roads and parking lots, use a medium posterboard painted grey. Draw the curves and straight-aways on it, cut them out and glue them on your ground.
For buildings and houses, styrofoam or balsa wood blocks can easily be cut, shaped, and painted. You can make L-shaped, U-shaped and other complex buildings by gluing different size (and height) pieces together. (Think of the pieces in a Monopoly game.) Just a few different colors will provide variety. Stick with earth tones, and simple black dots dabbed on with a toothpick will create the look of windows and doors. Brick red for barns. Remember, the model will be viewed as whole. The paint jobs don’t have to be perfect. Very fine black and dark brown sandpaper make excellent rooftops.
Pieces of posterboard painted light blue can be used for lakes and ponds. Be creative with the shapes.
If they are not too expensive, stick on a few model trees. The hobby shop should have them at various sizes.
