Ranch Community Services

I was appalled by the comment of a person running for office: "If you do not pay more money to elected officials who will have nothing but Zeros".

If you want to be rich you should not run for city council or president of the community in small rural communities. What is proven historically that can run for office and win and have no idea what this place of honor in question.

If you care about your community must be willing to serve so free.

I have worked and donated money with nothing to gain my community they live in a community is like a house if everyone does a small portion that runs well. This attitude than I deserve more is not conducive to public service.

In our area, I learned why people stop donating to certain events. A person I said, "Every year I donated my services, and spent countless hours and the group never thanked him. After a few years was expected of me."

The other phenomena that I experienced was a person who decides how much you should be able to do without any consideration of what he said. This is the person who takes charge, and complains about all the phone calls you as if your life is supposed to be this one project. This person should realize why we end up doing things for themselves is that they have pushed everyone. If you're saying we can not do this alone and end up doing everything myself because no one does good enough you may have to stop and look at their behavior.

I was lucky enough to have been part of a successful group of volunteers. On many occasions, to organize and pull off a great event there were only 5 people. If everyone takes a part and pretending things can come together very well.

Make a list of people and what they do. If a person says he can only make 10 phone calls and then let them do that and not ask us to do 100. Honor who took the time off to help and give thanks. A thing is certain: if not abuse of the volunteers and the respect of your donation will be helping for years to come.

Exit the mentality that everyone has to be in a meeting. Some people hate meetings and do specific tasks. Do not try volunteering as a job because you will miss many people with talent.

Unfortunately, due to the egos of high that I have seen long-term developments for the community to go up in smoke. Volunteer work should bring compliance and laughter in a person's life. The reward is the joy you feel and the new people you meet.

Recently, I spoke with a young woman and surprising that took over the Easter egg hunt in our small town and I said I wanted my children to have the experiences I had here when I was growing up. Do not large is that volunteerism is not dead and we must support these rookies with a great big thank you.

I found that everyone has something to offer, No matter what age. Just remember to say thank you and well done. Now, is that really asking too much?
