Ranch Wall Siding

please help me?

i wanna turn a wall in my house into a bar to open up the living room a little bit but i cannot tell if it is a load bearing wall.i know that i will lose the top cabinets and the sink is on teh other side of the wall.does this mean that i cannot tear down the top half?it is a one story ranch style house.i think it is about the middle wall of the house….

There is no wall in your house you can’t tear down. They make really pretty decorative beams that will work as a support for the cabinets you will lose. A 2X6 beam from one end of the bar to the other and attched to the ceiling where the cabinets were should support any inside walls, or support walls you might be worried about.. Go for it, sounds like a good idea.
