The Ranch

My MTD Ranch King mower will not start with the blade belt motor pulley. Any help?

Accepting this model has the commitment blade which is also the deck height adjustment lever. (pull it all the way to the release) when I bought it everything was as it should. I took the cover of my ranch-king. After putting back on I can not start the engine with the belt on the pulley. If I take the belt off the pulley that can start and driving, but obviously the shorter grass will not! I played with a little in vain. PLEASE HELP ME.

I own a few MTD tractor – I like the tractor, I hate the deck configurations. Id suggest removing the cover back and start again. Mightve It was a good idea to take pictures before removing the first time – but was too late. Okay, my White LT12 is similar (a product still BAT) – has 4 "legs" that fall, with an adjustment foot 5 'and a plaque on the back along with a serious heavy-duty spring. Each Ive removed the cover-I have a serious time trying to put the dang spring back – waaay hitch back to the rear axle. Deck under the tractor is lowest, engagement / arm lift to the back-check of the binding of these weapons-which tend to 'stick' a lot. I suggest moving grease points and mounting of the rear wall Twarda. Make sure the band is running properly, through pulley, idle, etc.. I jack the front of the tractor (from the arms hang so low) – then slide back under cover. Connect all pins and lower back down, put the plate / spring and raise the arm to the off position, cycling, lifting the assembly to make sure nothing binds. Should work now. I had a couple of times in the arms or twisting force and ruining the cover hieght / commitment. Kidd
