I am from Montana.
And i get really sick of the stereotype that comes with it!
I AM NOT A COWGIRL, I DONT RIDE A HORSE TO SCHOOL, I HAVE RUNNING WATER, I LIVE IN A SKI RESORT TOWN NOT ON A RANCH, I HAVE NEVER EVEN RIDDEN A HORSE BEFORE, I HATE COUNTRY MUSIC, AND THERE IS NOTHING WESTERN ABOUT ME OR ANYONE I KNOW!!!

Hell, I’m from Texas.

I don’t live on a ranch. I don’t raise cattle. There are no oilwells in my yard. I don’t any oilwells, period. Tumbleweeds do not roll down the street. I don’t have a dozen Cadillacs nor pickups. I don’t have a smoker that needs to be towed behind a Kenworth.

I live in a condo. I’m a consultant to the food processing industry with an MBA. I live in the suburbs of the largest city in Texas. I drive a sedan during the week and occasionally an antique Japanese sports car. My wife and I cook most every cuisine imaginable. I write science fiction as a sideline. I’m not a stereotype, nor as most of the people I know. Like most Houstonians, I was not born in Texas (my wife was, though).
