Working Ranches In Oklahoma

where have all the cowboys gone? literally!!?

I am a cowgirl. Love horses, love working and training them, love spending all my time outside with them, and love going to rodeos. I meet a lot of ‘cowboys’ at school and stuff but once i really get to know them and i think i like them, I find they may dress like it but they don’t know the first thing about horses and rodeos and life on a ranch. why are they all going away? I know there are still some out there, but where? I want to meet one of these guys, i’m tired of actually having to teach the guy how to ride before i can actually ride with them and even then i still outride them. I live in Oklahoma and visit texas often I figured there would be quite a few out here. Am I being too picky in a guy I want? I just want a good cowboy that i can ride horses with and have fun with outside with, without having to actually teach him how. ( P.S. who else is tired of all the wannabe “cowboys”)
